Year: 1985
When I turned eighteen, a new adventure began! I got into St. Xavier’s College in Palayamkottai, where I studied Chemistry. The classes were full of excitement, and I made great friends. By God’s grace, I even topped my class!
After my B.Sc., something amazing happened—I got into the famous Madras Institute of Technology (MIT) for B.Tech in Instrumentation Engineering. This was special because science students like me could now become engineers!
Walking through MIT’s halls was a proud moment—I was following in the footsteps of Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, India’s beloved Missile Man and former President.
The Government of India gave me a scholarship for my studies, and Canara Bank trusted me with an education loan of ₹15,000—a big amount back then!
But my life wasn’t always easy. During summer breaks, I worked as a daily wage laborer in the brick kiln with my father, carrying heavy loads under the hot sun. I never told my college friends about this. To them, I was just another student—but inside, I was learning the value of hard work and prayer.
After engineering, I took the GATE exam in 1991 and scored well. God blessed me again—my post-graduation was fully funded through a GATE stipend!
Then came my first job—Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) hired me as a Software Analyst Trainee. It was my entry into the corporate world—full of challenges, goals, and opportunities.
But slowly, I made a mistake—I forgot God’s grace. I got so busy with work, promotions, and moving cities that I stopped praying and drifted away from God. The company’s goals became my focus—not God’s calling.
Yet, God never left me. He was always watching, waiting for me to remember Him.
As the Bible says:
“When I was a child, I thought like a child. But when I grew up, I left childish things behind. Now we see things imperfectly, but one day we will see God face to face.
Three things last forever—faith, hope, and love. But the greatest is love.”
—1 Corinthians 13:11–13
It was faith that helped me through tough times, hope that kept my dreams alive, and love—God’s love—that never gave up on me.Moral of the Story:
No matter how far we wander, God never stops loving us. Even when we forget Him, He remembers us.
Success is sweet, but true happiness com
es when we walk with God.
Never forget—His grace is always with you!
